SOME MAJOR MACHINE THAT ARE USED IN CALCULATIONS
ABACUS :It was the first calculating device of world. Abaci” and “abacuses” redirect here. For the Turkish surname, see Abaci. For the medieval book, see Liber Abaci.
A Chinese abacus Calculating-Table by Gregor Reisch: Margarita Philosophical, 1508. The woodcut shows Arithmetica instructing an algorist and an abacist (inaccurately represented as Boethius and Pythagoras).
Napier’s bones is a manually-operated calculating device created by John Napier of Merchiston for calculation of products and quotients of numbers. The method was based on Arab mathematics and the lattice multiplication used byMatrakci Nasuh in the Umdet-ul Hisab and Fibonacci’s work in his Liber Abaci. The technique was also called Rabdology. The strips, were made from bones of animals. Therefor they were called Napier’s bones. These astrips are of 10 types, on which multiples of 0 to 9 are printed in such way that tens digits of the adjacent strip. multiplication becomes easy by adding these two digits.
HISTORY OF COMPUTERS
The computer as we know it today had its beginning with a 19th century English mathematics professor name Charles Babbage.
He designed the Analytical Engine and it was this design that the basic framework of the computers of today are based on.
Generally speaking, computers can be classified into three generations. Each generation lasted for a certain period oftime,and each gave us either a new and improved computer or an improvement to the existing computer.
FIRST GENERATION: 1937 – 1946 –
In 1937 the first electronic digital computer was built by Dr. John V. Atanasoff and Clifford Berry. It was called the Atanasoff-Berry Computer (ABC). In 1943 an electronic computer name the Colossus was built for the military. Other developments continued until in 1946 the first general– purpose digital computer, the Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer (ENIAC) was built. It is said that this computer weighed 30 tons, and had 18,000 vacuum tubes which were used for processing. When this computer was turned on for the first time lights dim in sections of Philadelphia. Computers of this generation could only perform a single task, and they had no operating system.
SECOND GENERATION: 1947 – 1962 –
This generation of computers used transistors instead of vacuum tubes which were more reliable. In 1951 the first computer for commercial use was introduced to the public; the Universal Automatic Computer (UNIVAC 1). In 1953 the International Business Machine (IBM) 650 and 700 series computers made their mark in the computer world. During this generation of computers over 100 computer programming languages were developed, computers had memory and operating systems. Storage media such as tape and disk were in use also were printers for output.
THIRD GENERATION: 1963 – PRESENT –
The invention of the integrated circuit brought us the third generation of computers. With these invention computers became smaller, more powerful more reliable and they are able to run many different programs at the same time. In1980 Microsoft Disk Operating System (MS-Dos) was born and in 1981 IBM introduced the personal computer (PC) for home and office use. Three years later Apple gave us the Macintosh computer with its icon-driven interface and the 90s gave us a Windows operating system.
FOURTH GENERATION: MICROPROCESSORS (1971-PRESENT)
The microprocessor brought the fourth generation of computers, as thousands of integrated circuits were built onto a single silicon chip. What in the first generation filled an entire room could now fit in the palm of the hand. The Intel 4004 chip, developed in 1971, located all the components of the computer—from the central processing unit and memory to input/output controls—on a single chip.
In 1981 IBM introduced its first computer for the home user, and in 1984 Apple introduced the Macintosh. Microprocessors also moved out of the realm of desktop computers and into many areas of life as more and more everyday products began to use microprocessors.
As these small computers became more powerful, they could be linked together to form networks, which eventually led to the development of the Internet. Fourth generation computers also saw the development of GUIs, the mouse and handheld devices.
FIFTH GENERATION: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (PRESENT AND BEYOND)
Fifth generation computing devices, based on artificial intelligence, are still in development, though there are some applications, such as voice recognition, that are being used today. The use of parallel processing and superconductors is helping to make artificial intelligence a reality.
Quantum computation and molecular and nanotechnology will radically change the face of computers in years to come. The goal of fifth-generation computing is to develop devices that respond to natural language input and are capable of learning and self-organization.

देश में ई-कॉमर्स क्षेत्र का विस्तार तेजी से हो रहा है। 2021 तक इसका आकार 84 अरब डॉलर होने की उम्मीद है। वर्ष 2017 में यह 24 अरब डॉलर रहा था। यह बात रिटेलर्स एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया और बोस्टन कनसल्टिंग ग्रुप की रिपोर्ट में कही गई। बढ़ती अर्थव्यवस्था और जनसांख्यिकी समृद्धता के चलते देश में उपभोक्ता कारोबार का माहौल बेहतर है। डिजिटल अवसर वाले ऐसे क्षेत्र, जिनमें ई-कॉमर्स का ज्यादा से ज्यादा प्रसार हो सकता है, वे क्षेत्र होंगे- Consumer Electronics, Apparel,Homeware & Furniture, Luxury ,Health, FMCG, और Food व Groceries.
हमारा देश इंटरनेट यूजर्स की 4 गुनी है GROWTH
50 करोड़ (2017 तक) इंटरनेट यूजर्स के साथ भारत इस मामले में सबसे ज्यादा ग्रोथ वाले देशों में से एक बना हुआ है। 13 फीसदी सीएजीआर (कंपाउंड एनुअल ग्रोथ रेट) के सहारे 3 साल के भीतर भारत में ऑनलाइन यूजर्स की संख्या 72 करोड़ के आसपास पहुंच जाएगी, जो चीन में इंटरनेय यूजर्स की मौजूदा संख्या के बराबर है। यह सीएजीआर ग्लोबल रेट की तुलना में लगभग 4 गुनी है।
2025 तक कंज्यूमर इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स में ई-कॉमर्स का सर्वाधिक 38-42 फीसदी प्रसार होगा, जो अभी 13-15 फीसदी है। वहीं, खाद्य व ग्रॉसरी में ई-कॉमर्स प्रसार में 1-3 फीसदी की वृद्धि हो सकती है, जो फिलहाल 1 फीसदी से कम है। पिछले तीन सालों में अकेले डिजिटल खरीद 2013 के 3 फीसदी से बढ़कर 2016 में 23 फीसदी हो गई। ग्राहकों पर डिजिटलीकरण का प्रभाव इसी अवधि में 9 फीसदी से बढ़कर 30 फीसदी पर पहुंच गया।

रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, ऑनलाइन खरीद के मामले में सुविधा ने छूट को पीछे छोड़ दिया। 55 फीसदी से ज्यादा लोगों ने सुविधा के चलते ऑनलाइन खरीदारी की, जबकि 2014 में ऐसे लोगों का आंकड़ा 40 फीसदी था।

डिजिटल खरीद में बढ़ोत्तरी इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर में प्रगति, स्मार्टफोन की कीमतों में गिरावट, डाटा शुल्कों के घटने और स्मार्टफोन के बढ़ते प्रसार की वजह से हुई। रिपोर्ट में कहा गया कि 2014 से 2016 के बीच 35 साल से ज्यादा उम्र वाले लोगों द्वारा ई-कॉमर्स को अपनाने का आंकड़ा 4 फीसदी से 3.8 गुना बढ़कर 15 फीसदी हो गया। इन्हीं दो सालों में सोशल मीडिया को अपनाने का आंकड़ा 8 फीसदी से 2.9 गुना बढ़कर 23 फीसदी हो गया।

WINDOWS STANDARDS
Windows Key: Shows the Windows 10 Start Menu
Windows Key + L: Locks your Windows 10 device
Windows Key + Tab: Launches Windows 10 Task View
Windows Key + Enter: Opens Narrator, a program that reads text for you and shows you tips.
DESKTOP COMMANDS
Windows Key + X: Opens Start button context menu
Windows Key + Left, Right, Up or Down: Moves the active window around on your screen. Left and Right snap the window to either side so it takes up half of the screen, Up and Down shrink the window to a quarter-size and move it to that corner. Once you have used Windows Key + Up to place it in the top corner, pressing that command again makes the window take up your whole screen. If you have hit Windows Key + Down to place a window in the bottom corner, hitting that command again minimizes the window.
Windows Key + D: Show Windows desktop (also available with Windows Key + M)
Windows Key + ,: Temporarily show desktop
CONNECTING AND SHARING
Windows Key + H: Share content (if supported by current app)
Windows Key + K: Connect to wireless displays and audio devices
Windows Key + E: Open Windows Explorer
TRADITIONAL KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS
Windows Key + Space: Switch keyboard input language (if you have added at least a second one)
Windows Key + Shift + Left or Right: Move current Window from one monitor to another (when using a multiple monitor setup)
Windows Key + 1, 2, 3 and so on: Open programs that are pinned to task bar
Windows Key + R: Run a command
Windows Key + P: Project a screen
Alt + Tab: Switch to previous window
Windows Key + T = Cycle through screenshots of open apps
Alt + F4: Close current window, but if you perform this combination when viewing the desktop, you open Power dialogue to shut down or restart Windows, put your device in sleep mode, sign out or switch the current user.
