Stay safe when hiring a service provider

Wefru does not collect payment for services booked through My Genie. You deal with the provider directly. A few checks keep you safe.
Steps
- Check the provider's business page and Trust Meter level if they have one.
- Ask for a clear price before work starts.
- Avoid paying the full amount in advance.
- Do not share OTPs, bank passwords or card details.
- Report a provider who cheats or misbehaves by raising a ticket in the Abuse category.
Common mistakes
- Paying a large advance to someone you have never met.
- Sharing an OTP with a caller who says they are from Wefru. Wefru never asks for your OTP.
