It is 82. 5 metres high tower with 5 storeys. There is a winding staircase inside the minar with 379 steps. The outer wall of the minar has beautifully carved out verses from koran. The rust free iron pillar near qutub minar is a living proof of the level of knowledge of India in the field of technology. the pillar is more than 1600 years old.
