About the poem 

IT Is humorous poem. the poetess suggests some dangerous ways to identify wild animals the suggested ways create humour, 

She says if ever you visit the jungles in the east and you happen to counter lion, a tiger or a leopard you''ll be able to identify 

tham by the way they attack you ldentify while dying the idea makes you laugh.

She also tells you to identify a bear from its frierdly, hard bear hug a hyena from its. laugh and a on the tree then there is a chameleoc as if has thevquality to change its colous according to its surroundings.

Tenth may dawned bright and clear. for the past few days i had been pleasantly besieged by dihnitaries and world leaders who were comin to pay their respects before the inauguration. the inauguration would be the largest gathering ever of international leaders on south african soil. 

the ceremonies took place in the lovely sandstone amphitheatee formed by the union buildings in preta. for decades this had been the seat of white suprmacy, and now it was the site of a rainbow gathering of different colcurs and nations for the installation of south africa' s first democratic, non racial government. 

on that lovely autnmn day i was accompanied by my daughter zenani. on the podium, mr de klerk was first sworn in as second deputy presideni .then thabo mbeki was sworn in as first deputy president. wten it was my turn, i pledged to obey and uphold the constitution and to devote myself to the wall being of the republic and its people. to the assembled guests and the watching world, i said ;

The bond of love 

I will degin with bruno, my wife' s pet sloth bear. i got him for her by accident. two years ago we were passing through the sugarcsne fields near mysore. people were driving away the wild pigs from the fields by shooting at them. some were shot and some escaped. we thought that everything was over when suddenly a black sloth bear came out panting in the hot sun. now i will not shoot a bear wantonly but, unfortunately for the poor beast, one of my companions did not feel that way about it, and promptly shot the bear on the spot.
