Rome was not built in a day

Anyone who attempts a task of any magnitude, many be beset by two temptations namely impatience and discouragement. He starts with hope and enthusiasm but finding that the task he has set himself will take much longer than he thought becomes impatient and scamp's the work to get it finished. Or when he realises the difficulties to be overcome he becomes discontinued relaxes his efforts or abandons the work as hopeless. As a check to impatience and a word of cheer to discouragement comes this old proverb Rome was not built in a day. To built a great city like Rome many days nay years and ever centuries were necessary. And no task that is really. Slow progress must not make us impatient and difficulties must not discourage us.

A youth has an ambition to because a fine athlete. He think a little practic will soonake him take many months of practice and hard training he becomes impatient and discourage. To him the proverb says be patient for Rome was not built in a day.
