The moon looks very beautiful from the earth there is no air and water on the Moon. As you know plants and animals need both air and water to live so there are no plants or animals on the Moon. The moon is covered with huge potholes called craters. The gravitational pull of the moon is six times less than that of the earth so your weight on the Moon is one sixth of your weight on the earth. It a person weight is 60kg on the earth he would weight 10kg on the Moon.

Space ? 

The Earth is surrounded by a layer of air. Outside this layer of air is space. The on 12 April 1961 Yuri gaarin became the first man to go into space. In 1963, valentina tereshkova became the first woman to go into space. Neil Armstrong was the first person to land on the Moon. He landed on the Moon on 21 July 1969.                     Indians in space ? 

On 3 April 1984, Rakesh Sharma became the first Indian to go into space.   He alsog  with two Russian asyronats went into space in a spacecraft called soyuz T-11. In his conversation with the them prime minister, indira gandhi from space he described india as saare jahan se achcha better than the whole world. Kalpana chawla and sunita williams are two other astronauts that we are proud of. Both have travelled into space from NASA. Kalpana chawla went in to space in 2003 but lost her alsog with her crew members in the space shuttle columbia on her return to the earth. Sunita Williams is a world record record holder for the longest stay in space.
