IS BLEEDING OF THE GUM A SERIOUS PROBLEM ?
YES, Bleeding gums is a serious problem.
SYMPTOMS
1. Gums are red,soft, puffy or swollen.
2. Gums bleeding during brushing or flossing.
3. Teeth that look longer caused by gum recession
4. Gums separating , or pulling away , from teeth.
5.Teeth shifting or loosing.
6.Changes in the way you teeth fit when biting.
7. Constant bad breath or a bad taste in mouth.
8. Pus coming from and between teeth and gums.
COMMON CAUSE OF BLEEDING GUMS
1. Gingivitis from inadequate plaque removal.
2. Periodontitis (advanced form of gingivitis).
3. Toothbrush abraison , improper flossing.
4. Infection,which can be either tooth or gum related.
5. Chemical irritants such as aspirin.
6. Leukemia
7. Placement of new dentures can lead to denture sores/irritation.
